Broken (Sonnet II)

A thousand words have filled my mind thus far
For ev’ry time I’ve seen thine eyes, thy heart,
And each time I beheld thee from afar – Though never of thy world shall I be part.
In silence have I made myself complete.
In sorrow have I failed to speak thy name.
So broken now, my silence at thy feet,
I pray that thou could love me as I came.
A thousand dreams console me unto death,
Though never may I breathe a word to thee.
I pray thy heart would see, through ev’ry breath,
That which not mind, nor eye shall ever see.
My simple silence pleads unto thy soul
To love this brokenness that keeps me whole.
