Sonnet III
I’ve fallen fool to love again today,
With fairy tales and stardust in my eye.
And fallen so, again I lose my way
Within the tears of ev’ry lost goodbye.
Though joy and pain together forge my fate,
I dare not let my heart with love be stained.
Though love may lead me willing to its gate,
Forever love and heartache shall be chained.
And knowing still the certainty of strife,
I’ve fallen fool to love again today.
So long as there is breath that gives me life,
I’ll always fall in love and lose my way.
The pulse of love’s lost mem’ry beats my veins.
Give all to Love – and Love shall forge thy chains.
